Unblock Ad Blockers with Server Side Ad Insertion

According to Marketingland.com as many as 200 million users and $22 billion revenue is lost due to ad blockers. Now that's a problem.

The obvious answer to this problem is "server-side ad insertion" (SSAI) which is rapidly becoming the de facto standard for in-stream video advertising. Every video streaming protocol has a well defined way of inserting ads from the server end...and it works across all popular internet-connected devices. But there's a catch. Advertisers still want ad tracking from the end user's device on which ad is actually displayed. So, even if publishers are able to bypass ad blockers they cannot track inserted ads because the ad blockers block the tracking calls. This results in lost paid advertising revenues.

One approach to resolving the tracking issue resulting from ad blockers is defined by IAB as part of VAST 4.0. But the standard has not been universally adopted or deployed.

Ingenuity steps in. AdSparx has devised a way of circumventing the above challenge by intelligently combining SSAI with the "client side SDK". This retains the advantages of both server side and client side approaches and the disadvantages of neither. The solution is actively deployed by our clients and has helped them achieve expected revenues. What's more, the solution extends to providing a smooth and non-intrusive user experience.
